A warm and welcoming family in Huntington Woods is seeking a part-time nanny to start anytime between February and April. The role is Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility around hours based on the candidate's schedule. The position guarantees 20 hours per week. The family has a 5-month-old infant and a 3-year-old toddler, both of whom will be in daycare full-time. The infant is hearing impaired and wears a hearing aid in one ear. ASL knowledge is not required for this role.
Responsibilities:
Childcare: Care for two children, including feeding, playtime, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Household Management: Assist with food preparation, grocery shopping, cooking meals that can be reheated, running errands, laundry, and light tidying up.
General Support: Support parents, who both work from home in a separate area of the house, with various daily tasks to keep the household running smoothly.
Requirements:
Nanny must be fully vaccinated for flu and COVID-19.
Comfortable caring/interacting for two friendly, elderly dogs (no dog care required).
A minimum 2-year commitment preferred, with the possibility of a long-term relationship.
Willingness to travel with the family 1-2 times a year, especially to Washington, DC to visit the mother's family.
This position is a taxed, paid role, offering $22/hour or more, depending on experience.
