Grosse Pointe Park, MI | Part-Time Nanny for 7-Month-Old

Position Type: Long-Term, Part-Time
Location: Grosse Pointe Park, MI
Start Date: Within 4 weeks (flexible)
Schedule: 2 days, flexible on which 2 days, consistent schedule, 9-5 with occasional flexibility on switching days
Hours Guaranteed: 16 hours/week
Compensation: $25+/hour gross W2
Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 3--5 paid sick days, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, access to private neighborhood park, activity reimbursements

Family Overview:
This down-to-earth, thoughtful family is seeking a dependable, loving, and experienced nanny to care for their first child, a sweet 7-month-old baby girl. Both parents work from home and value open communication, reliability, and someone who genuinely enjoys supporting infant development. They also share their home with two small, friendly (though barky!) dogs—no pet care required.

The family is health-conscious and would like a nanny who respects cleanliness and takes basic health precautions seriously, due to mom's autoimmune condition(Celiac).

Ideal Candidate:
  • The family is seeking a female nanny, age 25--65, who is:
  • Warm, nurturing, and developmentally-minded
  • Experienced with infants and comfortable caring for babies under 1 year
  • CPR and First Aid certified (required)
  • Fully vaccinated (COVID + flu)
  • Organized, dependable, and communicates well with parents
  • Open to evolving schedule as mom completes graduate school
  • Comfortable with two small dogs in the home (no pet care duties)
  • Preferred but not required:
  • Background in early childhood education
  • Health-conscious approach to food and caregiving
  • Familiarity with gentle discipline philosophies

Duties:
  • Engage baby in age-appropriate play and activities
  • Diapering, bottle feeding, preparing purees (optional), nap support
  • Baby laundry and bottle cleaning
  • Tidying nursery/play area and baby dishes
  • No general housekeeping or pet care

Additional Details:
  • Family provides car for child-related travel 
  • Light flexibility appreciated as mom's class schedule evolves (advance notice will be given)
  • Household has a dedicated nanny space (bonus room) for downtime or baby play
  • Parents are seeking someone long-term (2+ years)
